Established in 1911, Renton High School is the historic flagship high school for the Renton School District. It is at the center of our community and in the heart of downtown Renton. Renton High School has a long legacy of excellence. However, like many older urban schools, it has gone through some difficult times in the last couple of decades as the socio-economics of our community have changed. Renton High School Excellence in Education was established in 2001 to help make a difference. As an all-volunteer, community-based non-profit organization, we are working with the Renton School District and the Renton High School administration, staff, alumni, parents, students, supporters, friends, and community leaders to try to make things better at Renton High School for current and future students, to help rekindle the community’s pride in the school, and to champion Renton High School as a wonderful place for students to get an education. |
